Catalan election - Outcome summed up in under 2 minutes

<p>On a historic and extraordinary Catalan election, pro-independence parties combined surpassed 50% of the vote share for the first time, while the bloc grew its majority in the parliament.</p> <p>Elsewhere, the Socialists won the most amount of votes and tied for most seats won too, along with Esquerra Republicana. One of Salvador Illa or Pere Aragonès are likely to be named the next president of Catalonia. </p> <p>The far-right will enter the chamber for the first time too, with Vox picking up 11 seats, benefitting from the fall of Ciudadanos, who lost 30 seats. </p> / ACN
