21-Sep-20: 'Catalonia advises against travel to Madrid due to coronavirus outbreaks'

<p dir="ltr"><span>The dramatic worsening of the pandemic in the Spanish capital region led Catalonia to urge its residents not to travel there. What's more, the Catalan president said that temperature checks will be performed on those coming from Madrid by train or airplane. </span><span>He also criticized the management of the region's president, Isabel D&iacute;az Ayuso.</span></p> <p><span><span id="docs-internal-guid-594675c3-7fff-e067-3778-da1713b8e91b"><span>Cultural venues and cinemas in Barcelona and 18 other metropolitan towns will see their capacity limits increase from 50% to 70%. </span><span>Yet, Torra said that children's parks could be closed off again to avoid crowds.</span></span></span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>The amount of school groups partly affected by Covid-19 quarantines tripled compared to yesterday. Over 300 classes from 218 schools are now in home isolation </span><span>&ndash; the return to school has already prompted a slight uptick in the outbreak risk.</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>Well known clown Jordi Pesarrodona faced trial accused of serious disobedience for his role in the 2017 independence referendum. </span><span>He peacefully blocked police access to a polling station like many others, he said</span><span>. Pesarrodona believes he is in the dock for his picture with a police officer at a protest a few days earlier.</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>Barcelona&rsquo;s Hospital Cl&iacute;nic has carried out the first hip replacement without an overnight stay in Catalonia or Spain.
