Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, a bottling company under the management of Catalan businesswoman Sol Daurella, is expanding its control of the beverage sector after the acquisition of Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines together with the company Aboitiz Equity Ventures.

The move makes the business the biggest Coca-Cola bottling company in the world, both in terms of income and quantity of drinks.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners will acquire 60% of the business in the Philippines, a strategic decision to grow further in the Pacific, a region that the Coca-Cola subsidiary entered back in 2021.

The company is listed on various stock markets around the world such as Euronext Amsterdam and London.

The business, managed by the richest Catalan according to Forbes, also announced that it made a profit of €854 million, an increase of 26.5% on last year.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners started as Cobega, the old bottling company in Spain controlled by the Daurella family. Back in 2013, the company merged with others in the market and changed its name to Coca-Cola Iberian Partners.

The business grew even larger when in 2016 it merged with a German bottling company and created Coca-Cola European Partners, before changing its name to the current one in 2021.

All of these changes have been made by the Catalan businesswoman, who is the chairperson of the company and controls the shareholding.

Looking at the numbers, the company's value is €26.39 billion, similar to Naturgy, the number one company in Catalonia. Europacific Partners is bigger than 28 businesses on the Ibex-35 and four times larger than big Catalan businesses such as Grifols and Banc Sabadell.
