Barcelona (ACN).- Vueling transported 11,036,183 passengers in 2010. This figure represents 35% more passengers than the figure recorded in 2009, despite the volcano ash cloud and some air controllers’ strikes. The figures are positive compared to 2009 records, despite a small passenger decrease in the last term of the year. Overall, the figure confirms Vueling’s growth. The company plans to offer 10.5 million seats for the next summer season (between March and October), compared to the 9.8 million that they offered in 2009 at the same time. In the next few months, Vueling will open 2 new operating bases in order to strengthen its international presence, one in Amsterdam and one in Toulouse.
