Origin and evolution of the Romani language

From India to Unesco to the living rooms of Catalonia, the language of the Roma people has traveled far. Ignasi-Xavier Adiego, a professor of Indo-European linguistics, has studied Romani, the language of the Roma people, and especially Caló, the dialect spoken in Catalonia and Spain, for more than 20 years.
