More than 1.6M students return to school amid teacher strike
More than 1.6 M students return to school this Wednesday in Catalonia for the 2023-2024 academic year after the summer vacation. There are around 20,000 fewer students enrolled in pre-school and primary school, a decrease that is due to the low fertility rate in Catalonia in the last few years.
