Meet the Pyrenean ancient summer solstice tradition
UNESCO recognizes Falles del Pirineu as world heritage. It consists of carrying a flaming wooden log down a mountain until reaching the nearest village. Strength and skill are needed to follow a route only lit by the torches. In Isil, the elevation drop is 1,000m, and torches weigh 30 kg each.
