Catalonia’s drought plan: Felling 1 in 4 trees to save water
Amid worst drought on record, Catalonia seeks solutions to capture more water. Felling trees near river will help collect more water in a Pyrenean forest. "They absorb and consume a lot of water that doesn't reach our rivers. So we're going to cut down one tree out of every four. We're going to use that wood and also improve the whole ecosystem."
