The first baby born in Catalonia in 2024 was born at 12:01 am on New Year's Day in Seu d'Urgell. Jacob, son of Liseth and Wilson, weighs 2.63kg. Matteo Alexander, born at 12:10 am at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, was the first baby born in the city of Barcelona. In Girona, the first baby was born at 12:40 am in Figueres and in Tarragona, the first baby was born at 1:52 am in Reus.
