8-Feb-2024: 'Farmers end protest in Barcelona after agreement'
Farmers have reached an agreement with most political parties in the Catalan parliament after bringing Barcelona to a standstill yesterday. The agreement includes reviewing water restrictions, cutting red tape and speeding up the payment of subsidies. Farmers say they leave with positive feelings but warn of further protests if the measures are not implemented. Most of the tractors that blocked the Catalan capital have already returned home.
