29-Jun-23: 'Escola Pia apologizes for sexual abuse of missionary in Senegal'
The Escola Pia school and religious order has apologized today for the abuse of minors by a former worker between 1980 and 2005 during his time in Senegal. The educational organization also regretted not filing a complaint against Manel Sales Castellà despite being aware of the matter in 2005. After complaints from students, the missionary was moved to Catalonia but continued to have an important role in the order.
