The Catalan government has announced that Primary Care Teams will provide direct medical attention to all residents living in retirement homes by the end of next year. €15 million will reinforce teams that cater to a greater number of elderly residents, funding nearly 250 additional medical professionals. Data shows that care home residents have significant healthcare needs, with a prevalence of chronic diseases.
