28-Jun-23: 'LGBT-phobic attacks nearly double'
The number of reports for LGBT-phobic attacks have nearly doubled in the first quarter of this year compared to last year. A total of 70 cases were reported to police from January to March. Community representatives in the gay-friendly seaside town of Sitges have lamented a rise in attacks recently. Marking International Pride Day, the Catalan government announced a new LGBT memorial as part of the executive's historical memory.
