27-Sep-23: 'Pro-indy bloc halts conservatives' bid for PM'
Pro-independence parties halted the bid from Spain's conservative People's Party leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to become Prime Minister in the Spanish congress. Feijóo got 172 votes in favor and 178 against, with Catalan pro-independence parties Junts and Esquerra Republicana voting against. The conservative leader will have a second attempt on Friday.
