27-Feb-24: 'ERC and Socialists announce 2024 budget deal'
The Catalan government and the opposition Socialist Party have announced a deal for the 2024 budget. However, they will still need the support of another party, as combined, they do not hold a majority in parliament. The spending plan foresees an increase in spending of €2.4 billion compared to previous budgets. €1 billion will go toward drought relief, while education will have its allocation increased almost 10% up to €7 billion.
