23-Feb-24: 'Catalonia reaffirms support for Ukraine'
On the eve of the two-year anniversary of the Russia's full-scale war on Ukraine, President Pere Aragonès said Catalonia had been a refuge for 40,000 Ukrainians. He told the Ukrainian consul general, Vorobyov Artem, that Catalonia will stay by Ukraine's side, allocating all possible resources. Aragonès also expressed condolences for victims of the fatal fire in Valencia yesterday that killed at least 10 people, and said Catalonia would do everything necessary to help.
