22-Mar-24: 'Catalonia-Spain talks on hold until after elections'
The ruling Catalan and Spanish parties, Esquerra and the Socialists, have agreed not to hold another meeting of the dialogue table between governments until after the upcoming elections. Part of the Pedro Sánchez investiture agreement, the dialogue table is aimed at resolving the territorial conflict between Catalonia and Spain. Both parties see no point in holding a session soon, ahead of the Catalan and European elections.
