20-Feb-24: '800 demonstrate in support of Julian Assange in Barcelona'
Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the British consulate in Barcelona tonight as part of some 50 simultaneous demonstrations taking place across the world. If Assange’s efforts to appeal the case don’t succeed, his only legal recourse will be to go to the European Court of Human Rights. The Catalan budget for this year has not yet been presented, but Catalan president Pere Aragonès revealed today that the plan foresees spending of over one billion euros to combat the historic drought.
