18-Jul-23: 'Catalonia records highest temperature ever'
Thermometers in the northern town of Darnius recorded Catalonia's highest temperature ever, surpassing the previous record by 1.2 degrees. Other municipalities have also seen temperatures of over 44 degrees. In Girona, authorities have created climate refuges to help people cool down.
