13-Feb-24: 'Thousands of farmers block key points in infrastructure network'
Today saw more widescale demonstrations from farmers who are still out protesting. Today, they targeted the Mercabarna wholesale market, the Port of Tarragona and the AP-7 highway. More than 1,000 tractors, around 500 other vehicles, and around 2,000 people took part in the demonstrations targeting key points on the logistics network, according to the Farmers' Union. In a letter, the Catalan president relayed farmers' concerns over certain issues controlled from Madrid to the Spanish PM.
