12-Jul-23: 'Three classes to teach at least one main subject in Spanish, High Court says'
Three school classes must teach at least one main subject in Spanish, Catalonia's High court has ruled, in a decision at odds with the education law. The education law establishes Catalan as the working language in schools, but the court has now accepted some families' appeals that some teaching should be done in Spanish. From now on, children in the three classes will have at least one more core subject taught in Spanish.
