12-Feb-24: 'Police open investigation as two seriously injured after PortAventura tree fall'
Catalan police have opened an investigation after fourteen people were injured, two seriously, yesterday when a tree fell in the PortAventura theme park in Salou, southern Catalonia. According to PortAventura, a strong gust of wind caused a nearby tree to fall near the Tomahawk roller coaster. Two of the fourteen wounded remain in critical condition, while the others have already been discharged from hospital.
