11-Oct-23: 'ERC warns Socialists on post-election talks, as deal is for PM bid, not full term'
Pro-independence party Esquerra Republicana has warned Spain’s Socialist party that post-election talks are to reelect Pedro Sánchez as prime minister and not support for a full term. Esquerra's spokesperson in Congress Gabriel Rufián said the party would take it one step at a time. Right now, voting for Sánchez's prime ministerial bid is on the table, but that does not mean they are willing to back the Spanish government’s next budget.
