La Liga 2025/26 fixtures: Camp Nou debut set for September 14 Valencia clash

FC Barcelona will play their first competitive game in the newly redeveloped Camp Nou stadium against Valencia on the weekend of September 14. 

The La Liga champions will play their first three games of the 2025/26 season away from home, as works on the iconic Les Corts ground continue. 

Barça open their campaign away to Mallorca, before taking on Levante and Rayo Vallecano in weeks 2 and 3 ahead of the Camp Nou curtain-raiser. 

Across the city, Espanyol will open their account against Atletico Madrid at home, while Girona will welcome Rayo Vallecano. 

The first Catalan derby of the season will be held in week 7, when Girona host Espanyol, while two weeks later, Girona will become the first Catalan team to visit the new Camp Nou as they take on the reigning champions.

One week later will see the first clásico of the season, with Barcelona travelling to the Bernabéu to take on Real Madrid on the weekend of October 26. The return fixture will be held in the Camp Nou on May 10 in week 35, the fourth-last day of the season. 

The first Barcelona derby of the season will be played in Espanyol's ground in week 18, on the weekend of January 4. The pericos will then travel across town on April 12 in week 31. 

The blaugrana will travel north to Girona on February 15 in week 24, while the blanquivermells visit Cornellà-El Prat on January 18 in week 20.

In what could always be year-defining fixtures for all, Barça end their season away to Valencia, while Girona will play host to Elche, and Espanyol welcome Real Sociedad.

New Barça kit unveiled

The morning after the fixtures were released, FC Barcelona unveiled their new kit for the forthcoming 2025/26 season. 

The new shirt features the club's classic stripes, but with the colours shifting in gradient from blue to wine.
