Former FC Barcelona star Alexia Putellas has won her record third Ballon d'Or award in a ceremony held in London on Monday evening.

The Catalan legend left Barça this summer to start a new venture at London City Lionesses, and she dedicated the award to her former club.

The award means that Putellas now equals Aitana Bonmatí's record of winning three Ballons d'Or, and it means that Catalan players have now won the last six biggest individual prizes in women's football.

Meanwhile in the men's awards, Lamine Yamal finished in third place, behind winner Harry Kane and second place Kylian Mbappé. Barça midfielder Rodri came 5th in the voting.

The 19-year-old Yamal also took home the Young Talent of the Year award for the third consecutive year.

Vicky López won the women's Young Player of the Year award, while Cata Coll was awarded Goalkeeper of the Year.

Pere Romeu was named Coach of the Year too. The Barça Femení manager oversaw 45 victories from 48 matches, with his side netting 193 goals and claiming four titles.
