Two people drown at Miracle beach in Tarragona
Victims are minor and man who jumped into water to rescue him
Two people drowned on Thursday at Miracle beach in Tarragona.
One of the victims is a minor who fell in the water and the other is a man who noticed him and jumped into the water to rescue him.
Despite efforts by emergency services to revive them, they both passed away.
Two other people who jumped into the water to help the victims were safely rescued by a helicopter and a Red Cross boat.
The Civil Guard and Mossos d'Esquadra police forces also participated in the rescue operation after receiving the emergency call at 2.20 pm.
Firefighters initially tried to move people away from the shore because of the strong swell in the area.
