Rosalía apologies to Argentinean fans after resharing post

The Catalan singer, Rosalía, issued a public apology after sharing a social media post that sparked criticism from her Argentinian fans. 

Following the Spanish victory in the World Cup final over Argentina, the singer reposted a video that used her song 'La Perla.' 

The post was also accompanied with the message "This is what life sounds like now that the perlas have been defeated."

The message was interpreted as a mockery directed at Argentina by many users. 

The video sparked mass criticism on social media from Argentinians.

The singer will begin a series of performances in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and some fans suggested a boycott of the concerts following the post. 

Some fans claimed they would request refunds for their ticket, or not attend at all, with the aim of leaving the venue empty. 

Given the reaction on social media, Rosalía removed the post from her accounts and issued a brief apology through her social media accounts. 

The singer posted the Argentine flag behind the message "I shared it because 'La Perla' was playing and I didn't even read what it said, my bad. Sorry." The message was followed with several crying face emojis. 

She posted a second time with a heart emoji as the background with the words "I only have love for Argentina." 

Many fans commented "CANCELADA" on the singer's social media posts, others questioning her ability to read following the apology.

Rosalía was a clear Spain supporter during the World Cup competition, being seen at several matches. 

The singer even released special merchandise for her new album LUX that is inspired by the Spanish flag and has two stars to represent their two World Cup Titles.
