Python captured in central Catalonia after resident raises alarm

Rural Agents have captured a python in Manlleu, Osona county, central Catalonia. 

The invasive exotic snake has been taken to a wildlife centre.

A local resident spotted the python and alerted the authorities.

The Rural Agents have reminded the public that abandoning an animal of this kind or failing to prevent its escape is a "very serious" offence that can carry criminal liability.
