The Catalan Pyrenees registered a small 2.4-magnitude earthquake at midnight on Friday to Saturday, according to the Catalan cartographic and geological institute (ICGC).

The small quake was felt in the county of Alta Ribagorça, one of Catalonia's northwesternmost points.

The event took place at 12:06 am, very close to the surface, and the epicenter of the earthquake was registered in the Besiberri massif, in the Vall de Boí.

The quake did not cause any damage. The last one registered was a 2.3-magnitude earthquake in Andorra on April 19.
