'Pluralism, coexistence, and social cohesion': Catalonia marks National Day
Teatre Nacional de Catalunya hosts readings by actors from various backgrounds and communities

A celebration of Catalan culture in words and music took place at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya on Thursday evening to mark La Diada, Catalonia's National Day.
This year's event organized by government emphasized "the social and cultural reality of Catalonia" through artistic expression.
The aim, according to the government, is to reaffirm that Catalonia is a "vibrant, committed, and diverse country, with pluralism as its strength – a country that loves its land, language, and people, and works toward coexistence and social cohesion."
These values were highlighted by performances commemorating historical milestones being celebrated this year.
The event was hosted by journalist Aurora Massip and included musical performances by Antonio Orozco, Ven'nus, Els Amics de les Arts, Pemi Fortuny, La Maria, Queralt Lahoz, Ignasi Terraza, and the choirs Vozes and Cor Groove, who performed the Catalan national anthem. Àngel Llàcer and Francesca Piñón also took part, along with dancers Núria Guiu and Pere Seda.
Alongside musical performances, actors and actresses from various backgrounds and communities read texts.
