Barcelona Metropolitan Transport (TMB) will launch a new bus service around the Camp Nou stadium on FC Barcelona match days, with the intention of "minimizing" the impact on the mobility of residents in the Les Corts district.

The move was announced by the Barcelona City Council on Friday, detailing that the route will be operational two hours before the match and until an hour and a half after,

The route will run every 15 minutes and will take around 32 minutes to complete the entire circular route.

The service will connect the "main points" around the areas where road restrictions are established on the days that the club plays and will facilitate connections with regular bus networks.

The route of the new line, which will start on August 27 when Barça plays their first home league game of the season against Athletic Club, is about 6km in length, and will begin and end near the Ernest Lluch interchange, on Carrer del Camí de Torre Melina.

It will pass through the Collblanc road, Carrer del Cardenal Reig, and Avinguda de Madrid.

Team buses bringing Barça and their opposition to the Camp Nou will also see a change in route.

From August 27, the vehicles will enter through access X on Travessera de les Corts street, in the opposite direction, instead of going through Arizala street.
