Man reported missing at sea in Tarragona found dead

Catalan firefighters recovered the body of a man on Thursday afternoon, who had been missing at sea since midday.

The incident occurred in Cala de la Roca Plana, on the southern coast of Tarragona, at around 3 pm.

The man had entered the water with a woman, and neither was able to get out.

The woman was rescued by the Maritime Rescue service and taken to hospital.

The search for the man continued until he was eventually located by rescuers, but they were unable to save his life.

The area is difficult to access and cannot be reached by car.
