Man arrested for death of his partner in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat

Catalan Mossos d'Esquadra police have arrested a man in connection with the death of a woman, his partner, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, a city neighboring Barcelona.

Police were alerted at 6:30 am on Tuesday regarding a fight inside a home, and several units were deployed to the scene.

When law enforcement agents arrived, they found the woman's body showing clear signs of violence.

Nearby, they found a 46-year-old man who was arrested for his alleged links to the incident, as Mossos d'Esquadra reported.

According to the testimony of people related to the victim, she was Colombian and had been living in Hospitalet for two years. She lived with the alleged perpetrator and two other women.

Police are treating the murder as a case of gender-based violence.
