Leatherback sea turtle rescued in northern Costa Brava harbor
Animal was stranded between boats in port of Colera

Catalan rural agents, Mossos d'Esquadra police, and members of the maritime rescue foundation CRAM have rescued a leatherback sea turtle in the northern port of Colera, in the Costa Brava.
The animal had been stranded between boats in the Colera port and had injuries to its shell, flippers, and head.
After the animal had been treated for its injuries, it was moved by boat to the sea.

The leatherback sea turtle is one of the largest sea turtles in the world, reaching up to 1.4 meters in length.
The turtle is categorized as a vulnerable species and can be easily recognized due to its dark colored shell.
