Barcelona's L4 metro line will resume regular service on Monday, coinciding with the start of the new school year.

The improvement works undertaken over the summer affected the section between Verdaguer and Trinitat Nova stations.

This week, the Verdaguer to Maragall section was restored and from Monday there will be service on the entire line and on the L11, which was also closed between Trinitat Nova and Casa de l’Aigua.

The works began on June 25 and have comprehensively renovated six kilometers of track, including replacing ballast with concrete.

The works will reduce the number of incidents, help maintenance be more effective, and resolve some vibration problems in the area.

TMB has invested €20 million in these works, which have now been completed according to the schedule and should allow for a better service on the L4.
