The Israeli army has intercepted a second group of boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla that were trying to reach Gaza, as reported this Wednesday by the country's foreign ministry in a message on social networks.

Among the members of the boats are Spanish crew members, as well as crew members from countries such as Norway, Canada, Australia, and the United States.

The Flotilla has denounced that they have been illegally detained.

According to Israel, all are "safe and sound" and will be deported "as soon as possible."

In addition, Israel is still detaining six members of the first flotilla, including a Spanish woman accused of "biting" a member of the Israeli medical team.

All Catalan activists from the Gaza aid flotilla who were held in Israel after being detained by the government returned home on Monday night.

The former mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, denounced Israel's "degrading treatment" of all Gaza aid flotilla activists, after landing at Barcelona airport on Sunday night.

She said that "all rights were violated" and that they have been "badly treated, but nothing compared to what happens with Palestinians daily."
