Inflation remains at 2.6% during October in Catalonia despite price of eggs soaring
Core inflation, discounting most volatile goods prices, rises slightly to 2.1%

Catalonia's inflation rate remained stable at 2.6% annually in October.
According to data published this Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), it is the equal second-highest year-on-year variation of the past twelve months, and is below the Spanish national average (3.1%).
The price of eggs stands out, after soaring 15.8% compared to last year.
Core inflation, which does not take into account the most volatile prices, stood at 2.1%. This is an increase of one decimal point compared to September.
Compared to the previous month, the cost of living rose by 0.4%.
