Explosion at school in Girona region leaves three students injured
Experiment goes wrong, two of the minors are in serious condition

An explosion at a school in Porqueres, Pla de l’Estany, near Girona, has left three students injured, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
All three are aged nine.
The alert came at 10:47 am, and the fire department dispatched three units to the scene.
The local council has explained that the accident occurred outside the Entorn School, catering to pupils aged 3-16.
One minor, in serious condition, was airlifted to Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, Barcelona.
Another minor, also in serious condition, was transported by ambulance to the same hospital.
A third child, with minor injuries, was taken to Hospital Trueta, Girona.
All three suffered burns, while the rest of the students and staff are reported to be unharmed.
The local council has asked the public to stay clear of the area.
Emergency services responded immediately, deploying two medical helicopters, five ambulances, and a team of psychologists from the Emergency Medical Services.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the explosion and providing support to students and staff affected by the incident.
