Director of Rodalies and the head of maintenance at Adif dismissed from posts
Catalan government had demanded "immediately" the assumption of responsibilities

The operational director of Rodalies, Josep Enric García Alemany, and the general director of operations and maintenance at Adif have been dismissed following the commuter rail service crisis of the past week.
This is what the Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, José Antonio Santano Clavero, has asked the directors of Renfe and Adif, as he confirmed in an interview with RTVE's 24h.
The decision comes after the government had demanded that rail operator Renfe and infrastructures managing company Adif "assume responsibilities immediately" earlier in the day.
Territory Minister Sílvia Paneque had asked for "instant, immediate changes, accompanied by new investments."
Santano said that authorities are aware of the "discomfort of citizens," and consider that Renfe and Adif "have a responsibility to assume."
