Civil Protection issues severe weather warning for central and northern Catalonia
Heavy rainstorm registered on Sunday morning, with over 30 liters of rainfall in central territory

Catalan civil protection has issued a severe weather warning for Sunday morning, affecting ten different counties across central and northern Catalonia.
Officials warn that heavy rainfall can be accompanied by a hailstorm and strong winds of up to 90 kilometers per hour in the counties of Anoia, Bages, Baix Llobregat, Berguedà, Lluçanès, Moianès, Osona, and Vallès Occidental.
Across Catalonia, experts have registered over 33 liters per square meter of rainfall in La Panadella, 27 liters in Vinebre, 26.8 liters in Querol, 22.6 liters in Santa Coloma de Queralt, and 22.1 liters in Òdena, according to data from several meteorological stations in the territory.
Civil protection had already issued a pre-warning on Saturday night of the Inuncat, an emergency plan issued when flooding is expected, as forecast rainfall was expected to surpass the mark of 20 liters per square meter in 30 minutes.
The pre-warning will remain active until Monday morning in counties across central Catalonia, the Pre-Pyrenees, and the Eastern Pyrenees.
