Biannual 'Work in Barcelona! Job & Information Fair' returns on May 21, bringing 40 organisations and +2,000 attendees

Organised by Barcelona Expat Life, the 11th edition of the Work in Barcelona! Job Fair is set to welcome thousands of job and information seekers on May 21 at the vibrant Time Out Market Barcelona in Port Vell. The event has become a cornerstone in the city's professional calendar, connecting multilingual talent with some of the region's most sought-after employers.

Held twice a year, the Work in Barcelona! Job Fair returns again on October 1, offering another opportunity for multilingual professionals to explore Barcelona’s dynamic job market and essential relocation support.

This spring edition will take place alongside the specialised Work in FinTech Conference, co-hosted by BCN FinTech, underscoring Barcelona's growing prominence as a European FinTech hub. However, the main job fair spans many sectors, reflecting the diverse professional interests of its attendees.

The event attracts a diverse mix of talent with various goals: 87% are seeking jobs, 45% want to expand their social networks, 40% aim to acquire new skills, 34% look to grow their business connections, 28% are interested in internships, and 15% seek support to start their own companies.

Attendees come from a wide range of fields including marketing, sales, business development, data science, project management, customer support, consulting, and more. Notably, technology and fintech sectors are also well represented, reflecting Barcelona's growing reputation as a hub for innovation and financial technology.

The fair is especially valuable for those seeking junior and mid-level roles and welcomes multilingual professionals—attendees collectively speak over 70 languages, including English, Catalan, Spanish, French, German, and Dutch. Many exhibitors are actively looking for candidates fluent in two or more languages, making the event an ideal opportunity for both local and international multilingual job seekers. 

Located on the second floor of Maremàgnum, Time Out Market Barcelona transforms into a buzzing hub for 2,000 job and information seekers and 40 international companies, including ADP, Appodeal, Computacenter, Lodgify, NIE.cat, seQura, and Barcelona Activa. 
Numerous leading universities, business schools, and international communities in Barcelona take pride in endorsing the event to their students and members, acknowledging the considerable value it contributes to the community.

Beyond job and internship opportunities, the fair offers vital guidance on living and working in Barcelona—including paperwork, housing, healthcare, language learning, and more. Attendees can participate in free workshops and speaker sessions covering these areas. 

 
Time Out Market Barcelona offers 20-minute tours revealing how the venue curates “the best of Barcelona under one roof.” And as the sun sets over Port Vell, attendees gather on the open-air Xaloc Terrace for a relaxed "Afterwork".
