Barcelona–Madrid high-speed trains suspended after fire
Train services resumed after the fire near the tracks in Castilla-La Mancha was extinguished

High-speed trains between Barcelona and Madrid were suspended on Wednesday afternoon after a fire broke out near the tracks.
The incident occurred close to Guadalajara-Yebes station in Castilla-La Mancha, around 50 kilometers from the Spanish capital.
According to Adif, the rail infrastructure manager, at least two trains were forced to turn back.
Two services from Barcelona to Madrid — one departing at 2pm and the other at 3pm — were also halted, while the 4.27pm train from Madrid to Figueres never departed.
The disruption affected all trains on the line, including services operated by Renfe, Ouigo, and Iryo.
Train services resumed after 6 pm once the fire was extinguished, Adif confirmed. A total of 16 trains were affected.
