Barcelona tourist bus bursts into flames on Diagonal Avenue, no injuries reported

A Barcelona tourist bus, property of City Tour, burst into flames on Friday afternoon in the middle of the Diagonal Avenue.

Emergency services reported no injuries as all passengers were evacuated on time.

The city firefighters brigade deployed five terrestrial units to extinguish the flames that caused a large smoke column.

The fire started in the afternoon, around 5 pm, at the crossroads between Diagonal Avenue and Rosselló Street.

Both streets, including Roger de Llúria street, were blocked to traffic, according to the city council.

The 112 emergency hotline received around 50 phone calls.
