Citizens from at least 34 different countries are among the dead and injured in Thursday’s terrorist attack in Barcelona, according to Catalan authorities. These are still provisional numbers, but the death toll so far has been especially high among international visitors, as the Islamic State follower who carried out the attack drove through a crowd in one of the most touristic streets of the city.
