TMB has has launched a suicide prevention campaign on Barcelona Metro.
Posters on platforms display the message: "If you're going through a tough time, stop and call," alongside the contact numbers for Barcelona's suicide prevention hotline (900 925 555) and the 24-hour health response service 061.
The posters have already been placed at Guinardó | Hospital de Sant Pau station on Line 4 and will be rolled out to 10 more stations throughout September.
The action has been undertaken within the context of World Suicide Prevention Day, which is held on Wednesday, September 10.

31 deaths in five years
The Barcelona metro has recorded 31 deaths by suicides and 91 attempts in the last five years.
2023 was the year with the most incidents with 10, and 29 additional attempts, while so far in 2025 there have been two recorded deaths by suicide and 6 attempts.
"These are data that cannot be explained and that we could hide, but we do not want to hide," said the president of TMB, Laia Bonet, in a press conference.
"We need to share them because in this way we contribute to breaking the taboo of suicide," Bonet added. "The best way to address it is to talk about it to offer help and ways out."
