Barcelona will defy terror today with a huge demonstration to condemn the attacks that killed 15 people last Thursday. Here is a guide by 'Catalan News' with everything you need to know about this major rally against terror.

When and where does the demo start?

The demonstration will begin at the Jardinets de Gràcia at 6pm, and move down Passeig de Gràcia to Plaça de Catalunya, near la Rambla. That's very close to the area where terrorist Youanes Abouyaaqoub drove a van into pedestrians, killing 13 and injuring more than 130. The two other fatal victims were killed in the attack in Cambrils and on the outskirts of Barcelona, while the terrorist was fleeing the city.

What’s the motto?

'No tinc por' (I'm Not Afraid). This slogan quickly became a symbol of Catalonia's determination to stand strong and united in the wake of the attacks. Thousands chanted the phrase for the first time following a minute’s silence in remembrance of the victims the day after the horrendous events.

The march will also feature a design by artist Frederic Amat, which will be the letters of the name ‘Barcelona’ in red, with the letter ‘l’ in black, to represent mourning.
