Barcelona airport breaks all-time passenger record in July with 5.54 million
Year-to-date figures also at record highs with 32.7 million users, up 4% on 2024

Barcelona airport has saw new all-time passenger records in July, both in monthly terms and in the year-to-date total.
The transport infrastructure saw 5.54 million users in July, 2.9% more than the same month last year.
Meanwhile, El Prat airport registered 32.7 million passengers from January to July, up 4% compared to 2024.
The airport continues to reach new highs amid the debate over expanding its capacity, a project the Catalan and Spanish governments are pushing ahead with, to be complete by 2033.
Records have also been achieved in the numbers of flights departing from or landing in Barcelona airport.
During July, 33,660 total operations were managed, 2.7% more than last year, while the year-to-date total is 207,753 flights, an increase of 4%.
Of the 5.54 million passengers in July, 4.2 million traveled on international flights, 76% of the total. On the other hand, passengers to other Spanish airports are down by 3.3%, to 1.3 million.
