Although one lane was temporarily reopened in the days following the incident, the full three-lane carriageway was closed again while emergency and stabilization works were completed by Spain's Ministry of Transport.

All three lanes reopened at 3am, with authorities confirming that the highway and surrounding area have been made safe for travel

The coastal C-32 southbound is scheduled to end its temporary toll-free status at midnight on Monday night.
