AP-7 fully reopens southbound at Gelida after fatal train accident
Motorway was shut on January 21 for emergency works to repair collapsed embankment

The AP-7 motorway fully reopened southbound early on Monday morning, restoring traffic toward Tarragona after being closed for nearly three weeks.
The stretch between Martorell and Gelida was closed following the collapse of an embankment related to the fatal train accident on January 20.
Although one lane was temporarily reopened in the days following the incident, the full three-lane carriageway was closed again while emergency and stabilization works were completed by Spain's Ministry of Transport.
All three lanes reopened at 3am, with authorities confirming that the highway and surrounding area have been made safe for travel.
The coastal C-32 southbound is scheduled to end its temporary toll-free status at midnight on Monday night.
