27,000 migrants assisted with regularization process at Barcelona municipal facilities so far
Those without municipal registration will be able to start the process procedures at Fira Montjuïc on Wednesday

Barcelona has assisted 27,000 people in the migrant regularizing process so far at its municipal facilities.
This was outlined by deputy mayor of the City Council, Raquel Gil, on Tuesday, who offered a summary of the process so far.
In the media briefing, Gil explained that 24,000 vulnerability reports, necessary for the regularization process, have been submitted, of which more than 10,000 have been made through the link that the City Council has sent to people registered in the assistance systems.
Starting Wednesday, residents of Barcelona without the municipal registration - known as the padró, or empadronament, in Catalan - will be able to begin the procedures at Fira de Montjuïc.
In addition, starting next week, the certificate to obtain the regularization file will be processed online.
Gil said the data so far is "good" and that the city council is already preparing to begin the next phase of the operation.
So far, residents of Barcelona with a municipal registration have been attended to, and from Wednesday, those without it will be able to be served.
The Red Cross is supporting city council staff, and next week, lawyers specialized in the procedures will also be present to assist.
The Fira area will also be more air-conditioned, with access to toilets and water, from next week.
The Fira de Montjuïc will be open Monday to Friday from 8am to 10pm.
The City Council provides the vulnerability report documentation that each user needs for the regularization process, before they then must follow the steps through Social Security, at Post offices or online.
