15 arrested in major raids against Trinitarios gang in Catalonia
Mossos d'Esquadra and National Police carry out searches in Barcelona, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues, Sant Boi, Cubelles, and Salou

Police in Catalonia have arrested 15 people in a large-scale operation targeting the Trinitarios gang, known for violent robberies and drug trafficking.
The raids, involving over 20 searches, took place at homes and businesses across Barcelona, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues, Sant Boi, Cubelles, and Salou.
Authorities seized firearms, knives, drugs, cash, computers, and mobile phones.
The operation was launched early on Tuesday morning and involved more than 300 officers from Catalonia's Mossos d'Esquadra and Spain's Policía Nacional.
Participating units included the Special Intervention Group (GEI), BRIMO (riot control units), ARRO (rapid response units), as well as canine and drone teams, forensic experts, the regional command center, public safety agents, and investigative personnel.
In Salou, at least two apartments belonging to one suspect were raided, resulting in his arrest.
A Coordination Center was established to manage the operation, with top commanders from the Mossos' Criminal Investigation Division and the Policía Nacional overseeing the effort.
The investigation remains under judicial secrecy.
